The action-oriented animated series predated The Walt Disney Company's purchase of Marvel Entertainment, but according to Weisman, then-Disney CEO Michael Eisner considered buying Marvel Comics to compete with rival Warner Bros., which controlled DC Comics characters like Batman and Superman. ![]()
